They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 29-28 to Las Plumas. The Bobcats haven't had much luck with the Thunderbirds recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, Live Oak earned a 22-14 victory over Anderson on Friday.
Live Oak's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mario Ramirez, who rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown. Ian Miranda made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
