Marion have had to suffer through a 3-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Center Point-Urbana 24-21. That result was just more of the same for Marion, who also won the last time these teams played. The game brought Marion to 2-3 and dropped Center Point-Urbana to a mirror-image 3-2.
Next week Marion take on Maquoketa at Marion High School at 7:30 PM. Maquoketa took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Marion's good fortune. As for Center Point-Urbana, they will face off against Western Dubuque.
