The San Perlita Trojans will head out on the road to challenge the McMullen County Cowboys at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with San Perlita sitting on nine straight victories and McMullen County on four.
Last Tuesday, San Perlita strolled past San Isidro with points to spare, taking the game 66-51.
Meanwhile, McMullen County stacked a 13th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 75-34 victory over Benavides.
San Perlita's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. As for McMullen County, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.
San Perlita skirted past McMullen County 41-39 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Perlita since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
