The Kofa Kings lost against the Gila Ridge Hawks back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. Kofa was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to the Hawks.
Despite the loss, Kofa still got an impressive performance from Calvin Barber, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Barber hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Elijah Braveheart was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Kofa's defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Gila Ridge, they pushed their record up to 8-16 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Kofa does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gila Ridge will be playing in front of their home fans against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Cibola presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Hawks in Arizona (the Raiders are ranked 120th, while the Hawks are ranked 248th).
