The North Hagerstown Hubs posted their closest  win yet this season on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past Linganore  61-58. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
 North Hagerstown was led to victory by  Brady Walters and  Landon Somerville.  Walters  dropped  a double-double on 23 points and ten  rebounds, while  Somerville  scored 21 points along with eight  rebounds and two  steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which  Walters has scored at least a third of North Hagerstown's points. Another player making a difference was  Will Bonds, who  scored ten points along with five  rebounds.
 Linganore lost  despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being   Christian Petruzzello, who  scored 16 points along with five  rebounds.  Brandon Donaldson was another key contributor,  scoring 12 points along with two  steals.
 Even though they lost, Linganore  were working as a unit and  finished the game with 14  assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Hagerstown only racked up seven  assists.
 North Hagerstown's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Linganore, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
 North Hagerstown will head out on the road to  square off against  Tuscarora at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Tuscarora is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Linganore, they will square off against Urbana at TBD on Tuesday. One thing working in Urbana's favor is that they have posted big  point totals  in their last six contests.
