Brookstone found their leader in freshman Evangeline Gutierrez, who had 11 digs and four aces. Gutierrez is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in each of the last 21 games she's played.
Meanwhile, St. Anne-Pacelli made easy work of Sherwood Christian Academy on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win.
Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: St. Anne-Pacelli took every set by at least 13 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-12, 25-8.
Brookstone better focus on containing Allie Vickery and Anna Do as the pair were huge in St. Anne-Pacelli's win. Vickery had nine digs and one assist, while Do had five aces and four digs. That's the most aces Do has posted over her last 14 matches.
St. Anne-Pacelli's victory bumped their record up to 32-9. As for Brookstone, their win bumped their record up to 27-6.
