Kettle Run had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 8-6 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They had just enough and edged out the Skyline Hawks 6-5. This was a revenge game for the Cougars: when they faced off against the Hawks back in April, they had to take a 7-3 defeat.
Emerson Golden was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one triple.
In other batting news, Leah Trible was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Those two triples gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Samantha Montalvo, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

On Skyline's side, Taylor Doberer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Carleigh Baugher was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.
