It was another big night for Isaac Bone, who dropped a double-double on 45 points and ten rebounds. The game was his ninth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Vanden Allen, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 17 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Chewelah's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Tonasket on the road and fell 72-27. While losing is never fun, Chewelah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 270th, while Tonasket is ranked 37th).
Tekoa-Rosalia's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Chewelah, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.
Tekoa-Rosalia was able to grind out a solid victory over Chewelah in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 64-57. The rematch might be a little tougher for Tekoa-Rosalia since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
