If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Page. Their bye week comes to an end as they meet up with Northwest Guilford at 7:30 PM on Friday. Northwest Guilford will be strutting in after a win while Page will be stumbling in from a loss.
Page have to be hurting after a devastating 14-42 defeat at the hands of East Forsyth two weeks ago. Page got a solid performance out of junior Javondre Paige, who picked up 42 yards on the ground and accumulated 115 passing yards; unfortunately, it just wasn't enough for the victory.
Meanwhile, Northwest Guilford have had to suffer through a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past High Point Central 44-23. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Northwest Guilford had established a 37-10 advantage.
Page simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Northwest Guilford 57-14. Will Page repeat their success, or does Northwest Guilford have a better game plan this time around ? We'll find out soon enough.
