On Wednesday, the Edmonson County Wildcats's game was all tied up 25-25 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Campbellsville by a score of 52-45. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Edmonson County also won the last time the pair played back in February.
Despite the defeat, Campbellsville saw an underclassman step up: Keaton Hord scored 21 points. Those 21 points set a new season-high mark for him. Keondre Weathers was another key contributor, scoring four points along with 13 rebounds.
Edmonson County's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Campbellsville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Edmonson County will head out on the road to face off against Breckinridge County at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Campbellsville won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Metcalfe County at 7:15 p.m. on December 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kentucky (Metcalfe County is ranked 220th, while Campbellsville is ranked 200th).
