St. Charles Catholic had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Berwick on Friday. The Comets blew past the Panthers 18-5. Considering the Comets have won 11 contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Charles Catholic's win was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-7. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Berwick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-13.

St. Charles Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 14-0 win against Edna Karr on the 4th. As for Berwick, they will take on Patrick Taylor Science & Tech Academy at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
