The Dollar Bay Bays were the 34-31 winner over the Stephenson Eagles when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Dollar Bay ended up on the wrong side of a tough 53-30 walloping at the hands of Stephenson on Tuesday.
Dollar Bay's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adelyn Swain, who scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Karppinen, who scored 7 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Dollar Bay's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Stephenson, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Dollar Bay will head out on the road to face off against Chassell at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Stephenson, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Carney-Nadeau at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
