After flying high against the Marion-Franklin Red Devils last Friday, The St. Clairsville Red Devils came back down to earth. St. Clairsville took a 23-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Hartley on Friday. While losing is never fun, St. Clairsville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Bishop Hartley is ranked 35th).
Leading Bishop Hartley to victory were Bryson Winbush and Robert Lathon. Winbush gained 86 total yards and a touchdown, while Lathon rushed for 126 yards and a touchdown.
St. Clairsville's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Bishop Hartley, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
St. Clairsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Bishop Hartley will head out on the road to face off against Sheridan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 124 points over their last three contests.
