Baseball Recap: Garber Takes a Loss

Garber started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Union City. They came up short against the Tigers on Thursday, falling 11-3. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Garber saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kennon Sharp, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Sharp has become a key player for the Wolverines: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Another was Easton Bell, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Garber's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Union City, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

Coming up, Garber will square off against Timberlake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Union City, they will take on Tonkawa at 2:30 p.m. on Friday.
