B District 1 recap Oct. 23, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Skutt Catholic, who took down second ranked Skutt Catholic, 14-7.
Isaac Wallace of Ralston ran for the longest rushing play in B District 1 this season against Roncalli Catholic last week. Wallace ran for 69 yards on the play and finished with 104 on the day as his team beat the Crimson Pride.
Ralston's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Josh Krzemien threw for 106 and one touchdown and Jake Goltl had 52 yards receiving. Andy Chleborad helped Ralston's passing attack out by catching one ball for 21 yards.
Justin Tingwald made the biggest impact on defense this week as Tyler Zahn's team topped Roncalli Catholic. The 6-foot-0 senior grabbed one sack.
Ralston's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rams feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Krzemien has thrown for 1033 yards and nine touchdowns this season, while Goltl has 38 catches for 580 yards. Wallace leads the league in rushing with 1011 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the SkyHawks take on the Rams. As it stands, Skutt Catholic is in first, while Ralston is in third.
Gross Catholic extended the longest winning streak in B District 1 this week by beating Matt Turman's team, 14-7. This was the team's seventh consecutive win.
