The Paxton Tigers won the last time they faced the Mullen Broncos, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Paxton walked away with a 32-22 win over Mullen. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Paxton has scored all year.
Paxton was led to victory by Maddex McConnell and Josh Eakins. McConnell scored 16 points, while Eakins scored 11 points along with four steals. The match was Eakins' fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Paxton pushed their record up to 4-3 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Mullen, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Paxton will be home for the holidays to greet Maywood/Hayes Center at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Mullen will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Brady on January 5, 2024.
