The Leyton Warriors lost to the Potter-Dix Coyotes back in December of 2023, but the Leyton Warriors didn't allow the Potter-Dix Coyotes the same satisfaction on Friday. Leyton walked away with a 55-47 victory over Potter-Dix. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Leyton.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Leyton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jonathan Kruse, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. Kruse is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Kaleb Miller was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Potter-Dix still got an impressive performance from Brayden Kasten, who scored nine points along with ten steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Gasseling, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Leyton's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-7. As for Potter-Dix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leyton will take on Minatare at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Potter-Dix, they will play host again and welcome Banner County, where tip off is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
