The Stigler Panthers took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 63-49 win over Talihina. That's another feather in the cap for Stigler, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Loss or not, Talihina got some senior leadership from Ramses Hernandez who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds and Kaidon Potts who scored 11 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Bryant, who scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds.
Stigler's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Talihina, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Stigler will be playing at home against Westville at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Talihina will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Pocola at 7:30 p.m. on December 5th.
