The Mt. Diablo Red Devils can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Concord by a score of 60-52. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Mt. Diablo has managed all season.
Mt. Diablo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Eric Warrick led the charge by scoring 15 points. Another player making a difference was Taishaun Glover, who scored 12 points.
Mt. Diablo's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-22. As for Concord, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-22 record this season.
Mt. Diablo will head out on the road to face off against the Broncos at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Northgate presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Red Devils in California (the Broncos are ranked 186th, while the Red Devils are ranked 1007th). As for Concord, they will play host again and welcome the Phoenix, where tip off is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
