The Mingus Marauders put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Cactus 74-8 at home. Fans of Mingus have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season ended as a blowout.
Leading Mingus to victory were Savannah Tobias and Alice Kinsey. Tobias scored 15 points along with 8 steals and 6 rebounds, while Kinsey scored 22 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Kinsey has scored at least 25% of Mingus' points. Riana Barre was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 9 rebounds and 5 steals.
Mingus' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Cactus, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Mingus will head out on the road to face off against Tempe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Cactus, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Sunrise Mountain at 7:00 p.m.
