ARC Academy extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to ten on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-4. They came up short against the Midstate Homeschool Storm, falling 17-6. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 15-5 to the Storm when the teams met back in February of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Miles Thornton and Ryland Woods did some serious damage despite the final result: Thornton went 1-for-3 with three RBI and one triple, while Woods went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That hit marked the first that Thornton has got this season. Another player making a difference was Jacob Takewell, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
As for Midstate Homeschool, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by nine runs or more this season.
On Midstate Homeschool's side, Joshua Lonsberry made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Lonsberry was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Noah Chandler was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. He has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Andrew Poole was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.
Looking ahead, ARC Academy will face off against Acadiana Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 14.5 runs per game this season. As for Midstate Homeschool, they will square off against Mount Olive Christian at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
