After losing to Athens the last time they met, Greenwood decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. On Friday, Greenwood narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Athens 14-12. Having pegged this as anyone's game, the MaxPreps state rankings were right on the nose. The game pushed Athens down to 2-3 and pulled Greenwood up to the reverse at 3-2.
Next week Greenwood take on Abbotsford at 7:00 PM. Athens are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Loyal at 7:00 PM.
