After two games on the road, School of the Ozarks is heading back home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Fordland Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully School of the Ozarks focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, School of the Ozarks really took it to Bradleyville for the full four quarters, racking up a 75-32 win on the road. With that win, School of the Ozarks brought their scoring average up to 53.4 points per game.
School of the Ozarks can attribute much of their success to Caleb Widner, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Josiah Martin, who scored 15 points along with four steals. That's the first time this season that Martin scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Shadrach Thompson, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Fordland took a serious blow against Hartville last Friday, falling 85-26. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Fordland has scored all season.
School of the Ozarks now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Fordland, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
School of the Ozarks was able to grind out a solid win over Fordland in their previous meeting back in November of 2022, winning 55-48. Does School of the Ozarks have another victory up their sleeve, or will Fordland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
