Lakewood Ranch and Parrish Community are an even 4-4 against one another since March of 2021, but likely not for long. The Lakewood Ranch Mustangs will face off against the Parrish Community Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakewood Ranch has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Lakewood Ranch is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victor by a 24-12 margin over Palmetto on Thursday. With that victory, the Mustangs brought their scoring average up to 8.4 runs per game.

Payton Burdick and Maddison Anderson did most of the damage at the plate: Burdick went 4-for-6 with seven RBI, two runs, and one double, while Anderson went 2-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one triple. The dominant performance gave Burdick a new career-high in RBI. Corin Soria was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-5.
Lakewood Ranch was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Palmetto only posted a batting average of .300.
Meanwhile, Parrish Community put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They didn't even let Steinbrenner on the board, marking Parrish Community's second-straight 3-0 shutout. The Bulls' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.
Isabella Yazzetti tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Cassidy Ott, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelina Chapman, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
The win made it two in a row for Lakewood Ranch and bumps their season record up to 3-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Parrish Community, their record is now 6-0.
Both Lakewood Ranch and Parrish Community just can't seem to miss. Lakewood Ranch has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. However, it's not like Parrish Community struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lakewood Ranch might still be hurting after the 7-1 defeat they got from Parrish Community in their previous matchup back in February. Can Lakewood Ranch avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
