Basketball Recap: Pine Ridge Triumphs

Calvary Christian Academy came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Pine Ridge, but Serenity Cressor wouldn't allow it. The stars were shining brightly for the Pine Ridge Panthers in a 54-37 victory over the Calvary Christian Academy Lions on Friday thanks in part to Cressor, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 19 boards. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Pine Ridge's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Imani Ihaza, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 17 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.5 rebounds per game.

Despite the loss, Calvary Christian Academy had strong showings from Samantha Lecas, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine steals, and Terri Williams, who posted 11 points. Lecas is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Pine Ridge's win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their record now sits at 6-3.
