Piner entered their tilt with St. Vincent de Paul on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Mustangs. The Prospectors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Mialynn Membrilla made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in May of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Amanda Lee and Nya Parra did most of the damage at the plate: Lee got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs, while Parra went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The dominant performance also gave Lee a new career-high in hits (two). Another player making a difference was Ava Parra, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Piner's victory bumped their record up to 10-7. As for St. Vincent de Paul, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Piner will head out to take on Elsie Allen at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lobos have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.89 runs per game on average), something the Prospectors will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for St. Vincent de Paul, they will head out on the road to square off against Santa Rosa at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.43 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
