The Potter-Dix Coyotes's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 73-19 defeat at the hands of Leyton. While losing is never fun, Potter-Dix can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Leyton is ranked 40th).
Despite the loss, Potter-Dix still got an impressive performance from Madison Williamson, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Potter-Dix has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Leyton, they pushed their record up to 11-1 with that win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Potter-Dix will challenge Garden County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Leyton will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Banner County on January 23rd.
