Given St. Mary's-Colgan's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while Frontenac is ranked 203rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Girard came up short against Fort Scott on Tuesday and fell 58-46. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Girard in their matchups with Fort Scott: they've now lost three in a row.
St. Mary's-Colgan's victory was their 16th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-0. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 38.06 points. As for Girard, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2-1.
