The St. Johns Country Day Spartans are taking a road trip to take on the Bronson Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Johns Country Day will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
St. Johns Country Day's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over Providence School. That's two games straight that the Spartans have won by exactly four runs.

The result came thanks to Brayden Harris's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than ten strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Hunter Rodgers, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Nick Bowden was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Bronson hadn't done well against Eastside recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. Bronson put the hurt on Eastside with a sharp 16-6 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the match before.
Tristen ONeal was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Howard, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
Bronson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastside only posted an OBP of .375.
St. Johns Country Day's record now sits at 13-6. As for Bronson, their record is now 4-10.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. St. Johns Country Day has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.5 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bronson struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
