Founders Classical Academy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Lifegate Christian Falcons at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Founders Classical Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
Founders Classical Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 69-22 victory over Great Hearts Monte Vista. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Founders Classical Academy has managed all season.
It was another big night for Aslan Whyle, who dropped a double-double on 34 points and ten steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Jonas Merxbauer was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Lifegate Christian pushed their score all the way to 61 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were dealt a 89-61 loss at the hands of Sunnybrook Christian. While losing is never fun, Lifegate Christian can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1185th, while Sunnybrook Christian is ranked 429th).
The victory got Founders Classical Academy back to even at 4-4. As for Lifegate Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
