The Johnson-Brock Eagles put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 victory over Tri County. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Johnson-Brock has scored all year.
Johnson-Brock's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Camden Dalinghaus, who scored 16 points. Dalinghaus has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Sloan Pelican, who scored five points along with six assists and six rebounds.
Several Trojans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Siems, who scored 11 points. Tayden Gronemeyer was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
Johnson-Brock's victory bumped their record up to 19-0. As for Tri County, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-4.
Johnson-Brock will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Freeman is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Tri County, they will take on the Titans at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Friday.
