Maple Mountain fell to Springville 59-54. The match was a 22-22 toss-up at halftime, but the Golden Eagles couldn't quite close it out.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Leah Bailey, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 19 points. She has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ashlynn Lainhart, who posted 13 points.
Meanwhile, Salem Hills entered their tilt with Spanish Fork on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They took their game with ease, bagging a 63-30 victory over the Dons. The Skyhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season.
Salem Hills' win came from a few key players Maple Mountain will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Brooke Warren, who went 6 for 10 en route to 15 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Kate Barton was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.
Salem Hills was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in November of 2024.
Salem Hills has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points per game. As for Maple Mountain, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Maple Mountain has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 29.6 boards per game. However, it's not like Salem Hills struggles in that department as they've been averaging 33.2 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
