The Roaring Fork Rams took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past Prospect Ridge Academy 63-16 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-8.
Despite the loss, Prospect Ridge Academy saw an underclassman step up: Amelia Waggoner scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Kylie McKenney was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Roaring Fork's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Roaring Fork will take on Steamboat Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Steamboat Springs focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 28 on Saturday. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, they will take on Rifle at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. Rifle comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
