The Fox Creek Predators pushed their score all the way to 57 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They suffered a rough 81-57 defeat at the hands of Evans. Fox Creek lost against Evans in their previous head to head back in December of 2018, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 54-29 score last time.
Fox Creek lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being A?maree Roberson, who scored four points along with five rebounds. Montez Tillman was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
Evans got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Rayshaun King out in front who scored 20 points along with nine rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Taj Ford, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds.
Fox Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Evans, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.
Fox Creek won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Thomson at 5:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023. Thomson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Fox Creek likes a good challenge. Evans and Butler will face off at 8:30 p.m. on December 29, 2023 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Butler is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.
