It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Arlington ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the First Assembly Christian Crusaders 8-7. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Crusaders: they've now won six in a row.

Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 13-11. As for First Assembly Christian, they dropped their record down to 7-14-1 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Arlington will challenge Germantown at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Red Devils have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for First Assembly Christian, they will square off against Harding Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Crusaders are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
