On the hitting side, Jacob Jelinek was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. Saint Ignatius College Prep is undefeated when Jelinek posts two or more runs, but 1-3 otherwise. Jaiden Ponce also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

At the plate, Nathan Rubio was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Ivan Garcia, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.
Berwyn/Cicero Morton's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Saint Ignatius College Prep, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
