Even though the Timberland Wolves have not done well against the North Charleston Cougars recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Timberland took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 73-24 victory over North Charleston. This was payback for Timberland, who suffered a 64-31 loss the last time these two teams met.
Timberland found their leader in underclassman China Greene, who scored 22 points along with 4 steals. Kennahdi Murrell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 7 assists.
Timberland's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for North Charleston, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timberland will take on Cross at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Cross is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for North Charleston, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Colleton County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
