The Tumwater Thunderbirds's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to Black Hills. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Jake Dillon and Clay Morgan certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Dillon scored 18 points, while Morgan scored ten points along with seven assists and four steals. The contest was Morgan's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Bryce Morgan, who scored six points.
Tumwater's defeat was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-6. As for Black Hills, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-7.
