The Willsboro Central Warriors lost against the Boquet Valley Griffins back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Willsboro Central took a serious blow against Boquet Valley, falling 69-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Willsboro Central has scored all season.
Boquet Valley's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Burdo, who scored 18 points. Burdo is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddox Rice, who scored 15 points along with nine rebounds.
This is the second loss in a row for Willsboro Central and nudges their season record down to 3-2. As for Boquet Valley, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Willsboro Central will head out on the road to face off against Chazy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boquet Valley will be home for the holidays to greet Schroon Lake at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
