The Mt. Rainier Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Stadium Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mt. Rainier is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.6 runs per game this season.
Mt. Rainier will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Kentwood, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Rams came out on top against the Conquerors by a score of 7-4 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Conquerors: they've now won three in a row.

Sydney Young made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out 14 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off 12 hits (and only one walk). Those 14 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kadence Avila Petitt, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three RBI. What's more, she posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. Willow Stokes was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
Meanwhile, Stadium fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Auburn Riverside on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They lost 15-9 to the Ravens. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.
London Kim made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Erickson, who went 3-for-5 with three runs and one triple.
Mt. Rainier's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-3. As for Stadium, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
Mt. Rainier's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's game. The Rams have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 11.4 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Stadium, though, as they've been averaging only 0.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Mt. Rainier continue to outrun the ball?
Mt. Rainier couldn't quite get it done against Stadium in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 5-2. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
