The Brindlee Mountain Lions will be playing at home against the New Hope Indians at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Brindlee Mountain has struggled recently with 12 losses in a row, while New Hope will arrive with three straight victories.
Last Tuesday, Brindlee Mountain came up short against Brewer and fell 51-41. Brindlee Mountain has struggled against Brewer recently, as their match on Tuesday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Zoey Persle, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Her trending in the right direction, as she's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Autumn Abernathy, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, New Hope was able to grind out a solid win over Kate Duncan Smith DAR two weeks ago, taking the game 52-41.
Brindlee Mountain's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-14. As for New Hope, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Brindlee Mountain skirted past New Hope 48-46 when the teams last played back in January of 2020. Will Brindlee Mountain repeat their success, or does New Hope have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
