The Russellville Panthers will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the East Robertson Indians at 5:30 p.m. on December 28th. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Friday, Russellville narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past East Jessamine 69-67. The victory was just what Russellville needed coming off of a 77-35 defeat in their prior match.
Meanwhile, East Robertson got the win against Cheatham County Central on Saturday by a conclusive 67-47. That looming 67-47 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for East Robertson yet this season.
Russellville's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8. As for East Robertson, their victory bumped their record up to 4-7.
Russellville suffered a grim 82-57 defeat to East Robertson in their previous matchup back in December of 2019. Can Russellville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
