Basketball Recap: Quincy Snags Sixth Victory in Last Seven Games

Quincy won the last time they faced Springfield Southeast and things went their way on Saturday too. The Quincy Blue Devils were the clear victor by a 63-42 margin over the Springfield Southeast Spartans. The Blue Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Quincy found their leader in sophomore Jada Brown, who went 9 of 11 on her way to 25 points along with six assists and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelyn Hamby, who went 6 of 7 en route to 15 points and five rebounds.

Quincy is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Springfield Southeast, they dropped their record down to 11-7 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Quincy will venture away from home to challenge Moline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Quincy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Springfield Southeast, they will welcome Vashon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Springfield Southeast is facing Vashon at the right time seeing as Vashon is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
