The Tempe Prep Knights won the last time they faced the North Phoenix Preparatory Academy Gladiators, and things went their way on Thursday too. Tempe Prep came out on top against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy by a score of 48-37.
Tempe Prep was led to victory by Matt Milner and Austin Sampson. Milner scored 17 points, while Sampson scored 15 points along with six assists and six steals. That's the first time this season that Milner scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Chris Milner, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Tempe Prep's win bumped their record up to 6-13. As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 8-11.
Tempe Prep won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Santa Cruz Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Santa Cruz Valley is ranked 246th, while Tempe Prep is ranked 265th). As for North Phoenix Preparatory Academy, North Phoenix Preparatory Academy and Mayer will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
