Avon was led to victory by Nyisah Miranda and Josiah Guerrier. Miranda scored 18 points along with four steals, while Guerrier dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Ashad Bailey was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.
Rising Tide's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Avon, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Rising Tide will look to defend their home court on Friday against Falmouth Academy at 4:00 p.m. As for Avon, they will head out on the road to face off against Atlantis at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Atlantis and Avon are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads.
