Tooele lost against Park City last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buffaloes took a 15-11 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Miners. Even though they lost, the Buffaloes' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.4 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).

Madex Vonhatten was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Luis Garcia, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Tooele's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-11. Those road defeats can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.3 runs over those games. As for Park City, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

While Tooele had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
