Basketball Game Preview: School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions vs. Preuss UCSD Tritons

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology is on a three-game streak of home losses, Preuss UCSD an 11-game streak of away losses dating back to last season, but someone's luck will change on Thursday. The School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions will host the Preuss UCSD Tritons at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, School for Entrepreneurship & Technology was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 43-37 to High Tech NC.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Kameron Owens, who posted 18 points in addition to five boards and three steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Anicka Redondo, who scored nine points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Preuss UCSD came up short against Ocean View Christian on Thursday and fell 30-21.

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology will have to keep a close watch on Afi Torgby and Rediet Neme, a pair of players who had a big impact on Preuss UCSD's prior game. Torgby earned nine points, while Neme put up eight points. That was a full 38.1% of Preuss UCSD's points, marking the seventh time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points.

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Preuss UCSD, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-10.

School for Entrepreneurship & Technology and Preuss UCSD were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup two weeks ago, but School for Entrepreneurship & Technology came up empty-handed after a 26-25 loss.
