The Wolfson Wolfpack will face off against the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wolfson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11.1 runs per game this season.
On Wednesday, Wolfson beat Christ's Church Academy 13-8.
Madison Saling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and seven unearned) runs on six hits.
On the hitting side, Wolfson got a massive performance out of Addison VanArsdale, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Kadence Cooper, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
Wolfson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian Academy made easy work of Bradford on Tuesday and carried off a 7-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Conquerors, who have now won eight matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Trinity Christian Academy also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Madelyn Lasater gave up only one earned run on five hits. Lasater has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Trinity Christian Academy let Makayla Pratt and Sawyer Butacan run wild. Pratt went 2-for-5 with one home run and three RBI, while Butacan went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that Butacan has launched this season. Kealana Lightfoot was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
The victory made it two in a row for Trinity Christian Academy and bumps their season record up to 12-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Wolfson, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Thursday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Wolfson has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .512. However, it's not like Trinity Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .475. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Wolfson suffered a grim 17-7 defeat to Trinity Christian Academy when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Wolfpack have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
