King's Academy found their leader in underclassman Skylar Walden, who scored 24 points along with 6 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Walden has scored at least 25% of King's Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Brady Branam, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds.
The win got King's Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
King's Academy will face off against Cocke County at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Morristown-Hamblen West, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Volunteer at 6:00 p.m. Volunteer has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
