After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Bend Clay, the Trinity Titans were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They snuck past Heritage Christian with a 37-33 victory. This was payback for Trinity, who suffered a 49-41 loss the last time these two teams met.
Trinity's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ava Tormey led the charge by scoring 6 points along with 17 rebounds and 3 steals. Lauren Urbanski was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 4 steals.
The last time Trinity lost on the road was back back in November. Having now won three straight away matchups, they've pushed their record up to 3-7. As for Heritage Christian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Trinity will be playing in front of their home fans against Lakeland Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Heritage Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Kankakee Trinity Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Kankakee Trinity Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
